Good day to you Julie, Suggest that you review how a Cold / Hot hanger design are analyzed by AutoPIPE, see wiki here for location of help information. After your review of these procedures you can take the time to perform the steps as described to understand the results. Next, comparing results between models. You mentioned " I copied and pasted the .dat file without changing anything. I performed a hanger selection and I found a thermal movement of -20mm.". Please note that there are other files involved besides the DAT file ( see WIKI here ) . You should have opened the model created a complete input listing report, created a complete Output listing report, analyzed all, created an archive APC file. and then copied the APC file to a new directory. IF you ever have a question on why the results are different between model, see WIKI here select hyperlink "2 exact model files but with different results". After performing this comparison, you will see any differences between the model and be able to fix most common issues to get exact results between models. If the models do not have the exact same input the results will be different.
