Answer: The quick answer is no AutoPIPE can not import a DXF or DWG file format. However, AutoPIPE V8i v.9.5 and lower can copy-clip X-Y-Z coordinates into the input grids. While AutoPIPE V8i v.9.6 and higher can actually import an MS Excel file generated directly from AutoCAD 2012 and higher. Using AutoPIPE V8i v9.5 and lower: See the following video and attached document: a.  http://screencast.com/t/2TBueIj0Oq b.  Import AutoCAD file into AutoPIPE V8i 09.05.xx.xx and lower Using AutoPIPE V8i v9.6 and higher: See the following document: Import AutoCAD file into AutoPIPE V8i 09.06.xx.xx and higher   Note:  1. You can model any length of pipe line as long as the model database does not exceed the 10,000 node point limitation. 2. After importing the lines into AutoPIPE, all node points will be connected by stright runs of pipe. Use the power of node selection and Modify Convert Point to Bend, to change the proper node points into bends. Afterwards, use the input grids , Bend tab to set the bend's radius and other settings.   See Also Bentley AutoPIPE External Links Bentley Technical Support KnowledgeBase Bentley LEARN Server Comments or Corrections?
