Forum Post: Bi-linear stiffness available in AutoPIPE yet?

I have used both CII and AutoPIPE for the last 10 years regularly (oil & gas, pipelines, Nuclear). AutoPIPE is far superior to CII for 90% of the work. One thing that would make AutoPIPE superior enough for me to not use CII again would be a bi-linear stiffness option. I now work for Victaulic and we are often modeling flexible couplings as a solution to stress problems and lowering equipment nozzle loads without having to add in loops, expansion joints, rubber bellows etc. Currently, I have to use Caesar II to do this (we have 3 methods for modeling our flexible couplings and the most popular one requires a bi-linear stiffness) but would much prefer to use AutoPIPE. From reading forums here it looks like you guys are working on this? Thanks, Robert Johnson
