Applies To Product(s): AutoPIPE, Version(s): 2004, XM, & V8i Environment: N/A Area: Subarea: Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group Problem: The following is displayed when trying to open a model in AutoPIPE: --------------------------- Error --------------------------- E512-149: Model name must not contain space character before extension. Please rename the model and related files. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- How to resolve the issue? Answer: Press the OK button on the Error dialog screen above.  Open the folder location where your AutoPIPE Model is stored Search for the AutoPIPE model *.DAT files (you may need to turn on file extensions for this folder). The problem is that there is a SPACE character (shown in red below) before the .DAT file extension. Example: Wrong =  302242E-03(C) piping . dat Avoidance : Modify the file name to remove the SPACE  Example:  Corrected = 302242E-03(C) piping.dat  Open the new file name and the error message should no longer appear.
