Forum Post: Pressure thrust force in AUTOPIPE

Hi, I am trying to model the end cap force in pressure test. However, I can't get the end cap force due to pressure correctly in autopipe.  The pipe I am modeling is like in the figure, where one end is anchored, the other end is end capped. In reality, there should be three pressure thrust forces on the pipe, and so the anchor has a resultant force equal to one of them.  However, in autopipe, I can't get the resultant force. I already turn on "include axial force" and "pressure extension calculation".  Would be very appreciate if you can explain to me how AUTOPIPE handles this situation.
