Answer: Yes, using the following procedure. 1. Open the model in AutoPIPE. 2. Select File Export DGN model(*.DGN) the following dialog appears: Check options as they apply to your scenario and press the OK button 3. A new file will be created in the same folder as the AutoPIPE model. The new file will have teh same name as the AutoPIPE model, but with a *.DGN file extension. 4. Due to issues related to SmartPLANT 3D, see forum here, SmartPLANT 3D does not support any V8 *.DGN file format. There are 2 options: a. Mentioned on the WIKI above: Take a look at the R3D (Reference 3D) command. You can add the V8 file to SmartPlant Review VUE file and then reference that directly to SP3D. OR b . Open the newly created DGN in Microstation, and use File Save as V7 format to be used as reference in PDS. Once converted, suggested to re-open the newly created V7 model in Microstation to be sure units and model placement are correct. Save the file and open in SartPLANT 3D.
