It will be fixed in future release of AutoPIPE Vessel. Solution Currently there is a workaround for this problem. Please see the following link for the solution: http://communities.bentley.com/products/pipe_stress_analysis/m/pipe_stress_analysis_gallery/269463.aspx Item #2: I have made an input file on a BEM heat exchanger. When running the program it stops without a warning. Running on an other computer gives the same result. Why and how to resolve? Answer: After reviewing this user file it was determined that many things must be changed in their input data file: All the elements on the tubes side must be on chamber 2 (nozzles T1, T2 ;elements of geometry 103, shell 102) A tubesheet cannot be directly welded on an elliptical head : insert between the body flange 301 and the the elliptical head 303 a shell which has a length equal to the straight flange of the head + the height of the flange at least. All the elements on the shell side must be on chamber 1 (body flange 301) After the appropriate changes were made the model was able to run without issue.
