Applies To Product(s): AutoPIPE Version(s): 2004, XM, V8i Environment: N/A Area: Subarea: Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group Date Logged & Current Version Feb. 2015 09.06.01.10 Problem: In 2 AutoPIPE models: one is with EN 13480 code & other is ASME B31.1 code, for the same piping route. We performed ANSI Flange check for both the models are the results of ANSI check comparison are shown: why are the allowables set = 0.00 for the En13480 piping code model but are generated for the B31.1 model? Answer: As mentioned in the AutoPIPE help: "....which contains the following data for the standard ANSI B16.5 and 16.47 flanges: Pressure-temperature rating tables (Table 2-75, Table 2-150, Table 2-300, Table 2-400, Table 2-600, Table 2-900, Table 2-1500, Table 2-2500)." Therefore, confirm the Flange Rating is listed as one of the above values (i.e. !50, 300, etc..). All other flange Rating values not supported by the code will be ignored, thus Allowable values returned will be 0.00 as indicated in image above.
