Answer: Using the Import> AutoPLANTPXF command the following screen is displayed: Select the proper settings for this dialog (min. Piping Code and Edition), press OK button to proceed. Then the "Importing OpenPlant Modeler / AutoPLANT" dialog appears: Typically all material mapping is handle on the PXF import dialog screen by one of two methods: 1. Use Material grad Map 2. Pipe Material (note: drop down listing is dependent upon the Piping Code and Edition selected on the previous dialog). See AutoPIPE help for complete details on these feature. However if the user plans to use "Include ASME CC N-755-1 (HDPE)" option on the " General Model Option " dialog in order to specify a HDPE material, the above procedure will not work. Keep in mind that this HDPE option is only available for use when the piping code selected is ASME B31.1 and ASME NC Nuclear & ASME ND Nuclear 2004 editions and later. The HDPE library materials are available to either mapping option on the PXF import dialog. They can only be specified when inserting a new Pipe Property. Workaround: If user wants to use a ASME CC N-755-1 (HDPE) pipe material perform the following: a. Use AutoPIPE import AutoPLANT PXF file command to select the PXF file to be imported. b. On the "General model options" dialog, specify one of three piping codes: ASME B31.1 and ASME NC Nuclear & ASME ND Nuclear 2004 editions and later. Also enable the "Include ASME CC N-755-1 (HDPE)" option"; press OK button. c. On the "Importing OpenPlant Modeler / AutoPLANT", when i comes time to select the material mapping option, select the one best suited but disregard all HDPE piping materials in the imported model; after all the settings have been entered, press OK button. d. After the model has been imported, go back to the General Model Option dialog and re-enable the "Include ASME CC N-755-1 (HDPE)" option"; press OK button. e. Select Insert> Pipe Properties command to insert a new Pipe ID. On this dialog, enter the correct settings for the new pipe properties and enable the HDPE Material option, shown below: After this option has been enabled, answer Yes to the warning that appears, now the Pipe Material drop down listing will be limited to the HDPE materials currently available in the respective library. After entering all the Pipe properties on the dialog, press OK button and apply this new PipeID to the model as needed. f. Add additional PIpeID's and apply to sections of the model as needed. A new enhancement has been logged to make this process better in a future version of the application: TFS-E238791: Add feature to map HDPE materials when importing a PXF file See Also Bentley AutoPIPE External Links Bentley Technical Support KnowledgeBase Bentley LEARN Server Comments or Corrections?
