Applies To Product(s): PULS Version(s): 2004, XM, & V8i Environment: N/A Area: installation Subarea: Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group In May 2014, Bentley launched a new method of downloading all of Bentley's software using an web page called Software Fulfillment (imaged bellow). Accessing Software Fulfillment web page: The Web site is accessed by using the following procedure: Step #1: Log onto the Bentley Web Site 1. Open internet explorer web site http://selectservices.bentley.com/en-US/ A. Select " Support & Services " Tab B. Select " Support " C. Select “ Software Downloads” D. Log into web site. Note: If you do not have a current log, in please contact your local Bentley site administrator who can assist you with the correct information and permissions. Step #2: Download PULS XM Program The following Web page should open up: \ If not use the following hyperlink here . Again, if you are unable to see the web page shown above, we apologize for the inconvenience, however you must use the older download method, select the following link here for instructions. Step #3: Select the following settings: Product Line = Plant Design and Analysis Brand = AutoPIPE Generation = V8 XM Release Type = Commercial Language = English Step #4: PULS is available in 3 different editions (i.e. Option 1, Option 2, Option3). These editions are controlled by the license available in the "License Management Tool" software. Therefore, all that is needed to be done, A. Under " PULS Option 1 ", select the hyperlink for " All Documents ", as indicated above. B. In order to select the application to be downloaded, place a check in the check-boxes next to " Bentley PULS XM Edition (English) x86 " and select the correct version of " Bentley IEG License Service (English) x86 " to be downloaded. C. Press the " Download Queue " button in the upper right corner of the screen. D, Confirm the applications that are to be downloaded and remove any that are not needed. Continue by pressing the Green Square to start downloading the applications. Notes: 1. Must press each green square in order to download the respective application. . The screen shot above may show different versions then currently available, but the steps to download are the same. Select a version to download. If you do not see check boxes next to the applications, you do not have download rights. Therefore your options to update your user access rights: Contact your Bentley On-site Admin to upgrade your user access with information on the following WIKI site Contact your account manager, to upgrade your user status Contact Bentley BRC for additional help (i.e. answer questions like: Who is your on-site admin or Account manager?). 3. Again, you do not need to download any other software for installing PULS on your computer. E. Read the " SELECTservices Online Legal Terms of Use " contract, if you agree, select the Accept button The installation process discussed on a different WIKI page will install the complete program. Again, these program features are controlled by the license: Step #5: Read the "SELECTservices Online Legal Terms of Use ". If you agree, press the “Accept” button, otherwise press Cancel button to abort the download process. The application is now available to download: 1. Using Internet Explorer: A box will appear at the bottom of the screen, press the "Save" drop down listing and select "Save-As", and save the file to your desk top or other folder location. Note: the file name above may-not be the same, this name will mirror the version selected for download. 2. Using Google Chrome A box will appear at the bottom of the screen, where the application is automatically being downloaded. press the drop down indicator on the right and select "Show in Folder" to locate the software being downloaded. Note: the file name above may-not be the same, this name will mirror the version selected for download. Download is complete: After the download has been completed. Note: Sometimes users are unable to download software from Bentley SELECTservices website by clicking on the link ‘Download’. Here are the steps which should help: i. Turn off a pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer by going to Tools-> Pop-up Blocker -> Turn Off Pop-up Blocker ii. Add www.bentley.com to Trusted Sites in IE by going to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Trusted Sites -> Sites iii. Change a security level for this webpage to Low in IE by going to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Trusted Sites -> Custom level… and change drop down list to Low. Burn DVD(s) Procedure Select the following link for a procedure to Burn a CD with the selected application that will then be mailed to your address provided: Download PULS XM Updates There are 2 additional updates that have not been posted to the Download services. please submit a service request asking for: a. puls08090029.zip b. International.zip These files are only available upon request. Please log a service request asking for these files. After receiving them, install in the same order as shown above.
