Hello Lenine666, Your original question: I am modelling a manifold and the solution tells me that there is uplift at one of the v-stop. What I do not understand is why there is a (positive) load acting on the v-stop? The answer is do not look at your individual load cases, but look at your operating conditions. Answer these questions: 1. Is there a large gap on top of the V-stop/Guide where the gap does not close under the operating condition? 2. Under Load Static analysis do all of the analysis sets have Gaps/ Friction/Soil checked ON? 3. Does the operating condition have a positive load value on the Guide / V-stop support? if so. under what load case and paste in the support report showing the load cases that make up the combination. Thanks for your time. Regards, Mike Dattilio Bentley TSG Support Analyst ===================================================
