Contact Bentley for authorization. Converting to DEMO. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- --------------------------- Warning --------------------------- W2018-12: Not authorized for Plus edition. Contact Bentley for authorization. Converting to DEMO. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- --------------------------- Warning --------------------------- W2018-16: Not authorized for Nuclear edition. Contact Bentley for authorization. Converting to DEMO. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Answer: The problem is Licensing. Procedure to check Licensing: 1. Start AutoPIPE, select OK button when Warning message appears, Select Tools Setting License Management Tool . 2. After the application opens, press on the License Checkout Tab, is one or more of the following visible in your listing: AutoPIPE AutoPIPE Advances AutoPIPE Nuclear AutoPIPE Stress Iso Add-on AutoPIPE Nozzle AutoPIPE Vessel If the answer is Yes, continue to step #3. If the answer is No, select Tools Options press the Test Connection button, Which dialog is visible when you press the button: A. Do you see the following: --------------------------- SELECTserver --------------------------- SELECTserver and Activation Key verified. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- This proves that your are connected with Bentley Server. This is no longer an AutoPIPE product problem, but a problem with Select Server or Licensing. Therefore one or more of the following must be applied: i. Your contract does not have the this software listed on it. Bently Product Support TSG personell can not make changes to your contract. User must contact Bentley Licensing team to confirm your applications on your contract and to make changes as required. ii. User Check out restrictions, only your Bentley On-site Administrator can verify any restrictions and change them. Contact your Bentley On-site Admin or Bentley Licensing Team for more information. B. Or, do you see the following: --------------------------- SELECTserver --------------------------- Server does not support this Activation Key. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- This confirms that: i. Server Name or Site Activation Key is not correct, - Confirm the Server name and Activation key have been entered correctly - Confirm there are no leading or trailing spaces - Contact Bentley Licensing group for assistance ii. Your internet connection is broken. Re-establish your connection and try again. iii. Bentley Select Server is down. In this case, contact Bentley Select Server Team to confirm and ask when it will be available again. 3. Look at the column next to the version of AutoPIPE trying to license, see the following image: Is the value = 0 ? If the value is = 0, then you cannot use this version of AutoPIPE V8i 09.05.xx.xx and lower as it does not support trust licensing. AutoPIPE V8i 09.06.xx.xx and higher now supports trust licensing and the applicaton should be able to work. You may consider increasing your pooled license, contact your Bentley Account Manager for options and pricing Is the value 0 ? If the Value is greater than 0, t herefore a license is available for the application, start AutoPIPE. NOTE: A. AutoPIPE V8i 09.05.xx.xx and lower requires that Bentley IEG be installed. Before starting AutoPIPE confirm that the IEG application has been installed by reviewing Control pannel "Add / Remove programs" Or "Programs & Features" . If not, install the application as instructed in the Quickstart.PDF copied to the following folder during the AutoPIPE install: C:\Bentley\AutoPIPE V8i SELECTseries\ B. In addtion, AutoPIPE V8i 08.06.xx.xx and lower requires that Bentley Gateway be running, Plant Security installed, and license server pointer files be configured. Example 1: Considering the above License Management Tool screen shot, there is no license available for AutoPIPE, but there are plenty of license available for AutoPIPE Advanced and Nuclear. Remember AutoPIPE recalls the last license used in the previous session, say AutoPIPE Standard. Start the program, AutoPIPE will start, however the "W2018-11: Not authorized for Standard edition" warning would be displayed as there is no license available for AutoPIPE Standard and that was the last license used by the application before being closed. Options: 1. Wait for an AutoPIPE Standard License to become available or 2. From within AutoPIPE, select Tools Settings Edition change selected radio button from Standard to either Advanced or Nuclear, because both have more than 0 license available. Example #2: Given the following screen shot from License Management Tool When AutoPIPE starts you may get anyone of the following errors: W2018-12: Not authorized for Plus edition. W2018-16: Not authorized for Nuclear edition. Regardless the application will be converting to DEMO Mode. Remember, you may only license the version of AutoPIPE available in License Management Tool, in this case that is AutoPIPE Standard. From with in AutoPIPE, select Tools Settings Edition select the radio button for AutoPIPE Standard In order to use AutoPIPE Advance, AutoPIPE Nuclear, AutoPIPE Nozzle, Stress-Iso Add On, KHK2 Add On, you should contact your Bentley On Site Admin for any User Check out restrictions on the Select Server, or contact Bentley licensing to have one or more of these other license add to your contract. Troubleshooting If the applications has been installed, and all the steps above have been followed, complete the following procedure on the user computer: 1. Close all Bentley applications (AutoPIPE, License Management Tool, etc.. 2. Locate the license.db file on the computer and delete everything in the directory where this file exist (may need IT to located and delete files from this folder 3. Restart AutoPIPE accept any and all dialog screens until the application is fully opened with a License or into Demo Mode. 4. From within AutoPIPE, select Tools Setting License Management Tool and press F9 to send logs now. 5. Locate the licdebug.log in the same folder from step #2, create a service request and send to us for review.
