Not sure if this question has been posted before. I did find this thread with no answer on a similar question; https://communities.bentley.com/products/pipe_stress_analysis/f/autopipe-forum/106307/flange-calculation-methods Would it be possible to create an Enhancement Request to add the EN 1591-1 calculation method to the flange analysis tab? It has been known to industry, and has been recognized by ASME as well, that the EN 1591-1 method is far superior to any ASME method such that from VIII div 1 appendix 2. The method can be used for both ASME and EN flanges, and leads to more accurate and conservative results. A 'bug' I recently encountered was that I had to check a DN 250 PN160 flange, and I could only use the ASME VIII-1 app 2 method. The flange failed. Im pretty sure that the flange would have passed if I had used the EN 1591-1 method. Furthermore it's technically incorrect to calculate an EN flange with an ASME method, as the EN flange has less margin to ASME, so the results is youre comparing apples and bananas. Looking forward to your reply.
