Answer: Use the following procedure: Note: Before starting this procedure be sure that AutoPIPE (Advance or Nuclear) and AutoPIPE Nozzle are correctly installed and licensed. AutoPIPE Nozzle cannot be licensed with AutoPIPE Standard. 1. Open model in AutoPIPE, ex: C:\ Bentley\ AutoPIPE V8i SELECTseries \ Examples\ WALKTHRU.DAT 2. Tell AutoPIPE which anchors or reference points in the model are to be exported to AutoPIPE Nozzle: a. Grids: i. Open the model's Input grids (Edit Grids), select the Anchor tab, in the very last column on the right place a check mark in the box as shown below: And / Or ii. Open the model's Input grids (Edit Grids), select the "Reference Point" tab, in the very last column on the right place a check mark in the box as shown below: b. Anchor dialog: i. On the Anchor dialog, place a check mark in the box "Report anchor results to AutoPIPE Nozzle" And / Or ii. On the Reference Point dialog, place a check mark in the box "Report reference Point results to AutoPIPE Nozzle"   3. Analyze the model 4. Select File Export Nozzle Loads to AutoPIPE Nozzle. Note: See AutoPIPE online help for details about the this command and file format. 5. Providing everything was installed correctly and licensed, in a few moments, AutoPIPE Nozzle should have automatically started. Note: If AutoPIPE Nozzle does not automatically start then start the program and then select File Import AutoPIPE... 6. On the "Import AutoPIPE Nozzles" dialog screen, " Select Nozzle PXF file " should have automatically been the filled in with the model name exported from AutoPIPE, ex: Walkthru User must press on the drop down arrows to choose BOTH a " Select Nozzle ID " and a " Analysis Set Number" , as pictured below.   Note:   A. Click on Browse button to open any AutoPIPE PXF file which contains all the nozzle loads, identifier and geometry information i.e 8000 3 control card. B. Click on the Update button to refresh the Nozzle Identifiers into the drop-down list. This is necessary if the AutoPIPE point names have been renumbered. Note: The current model will be saved before the update operation. C. The checkbox "Import loads into existing model" by default is not checked. If checked, the program skips checking the AutoPIPE Nozzle.map file in the AutoPIPE Nozzle\project directory for existing model match but instead imports the new loads from Autopipe into the current model. No save operation is performed. When importing a nozzle from Autopipe, the program checks if this nozzle id name and autopipe model exist in the AutoPIPE Nozzle.map, if it does, the existing model (WNZ???.NOZ) details e.g shell diameter, shell type etc are loaded into AutoPIPE Nozzle before the new loads and nozzle geometry are imported. The model is then saved with the new loads. If the WNZ???.NOZ is not found a warning message is displayed and a new WNZ???.noz file is created in the project directory. When the " Nozzle ID" and "Set Number" have been properly selected, press the OK button; nominal nozzle size & thickness and nozzle loads are imported into AutoPIPE Nozzle. 7. Choose from 5 different vessel "Orientation", and press OK button to complete the process of importing nozzle loads from AutoPIPE V8i. The Nozzle axis is set to either X or –X from the autopipe PXF file i.e near or far point where the nozzle loads are acting at the anchor. The user can modify the nozzle axis from the drop-down list. Click OK to accept the selected vessel orientation and the nozzle and shell axis under the Shell tab are then set accordingly, or click Cancel to restore the previous axes settings Note : AutoPIPE Nozzle can only process one nozzle at a time. When completed with the current nozzle, save the file, and then select File Import AutoPIPE... to select a different nozzle ID to be processed.   See Also Bentley AutoPIPE External Links Bentley Technical Support KnowledgeBase Bentley LEARN Server Comments or Corrections?
