We create cross-country piping models by way of data held in an Excel sheet, then using VBA macros to create NTL files. You can export your AutoPIPE model to an NTL file which is just an ASCII text file. At its simplest you could use a text editor to search and replace values. After that it would be up to how much appetite you have for writing VBA code and how sophisticated you want the process to be. Writing VBA code would not be of great value if this is a one-off. In our case we create the NTL file from scratch, but we are designing many km of cross-country piping and also producing drawings from the same data, so the coding was a worthwhile investment for repeat work.
