1 a).We have modeled using nozzle flexibility option with the "user" input in the flexibility method @ Nozzle/ vessel interface using the stiffness values from the Equipment Vendor. Equipment direction is “Z”. Nozzle direction is “Z”. Vendor has provided us Axial, Torsional, Rotational Stiffness values. We have incorporated the same in the Autopipe Nozzle flexibility “user” method incorporating the values under Radial, circumferential, Longitudinal stiffness. Also at the Anchor we have incorporated the vessel/ nozzle interface operating displacements . Force & moments results at the nozzle/vessel interface are not convincing. b). we have tried other option by providing the translational & rotational stiffness values in Anchor support @ Nozzle & vessel interface instead of using the Nozzle flexibility. Results of above two methods types are completely different. Which method is ideal for evaluating the nozzle/vessel interface force & moments, when we have Vendor stiffness values?.
