Answer: The difference in the terms is only introduced based on from where the term was incorporated i.e. Alpha and Modulus values for pipe states room temperature after NB-3653.2. These two terms are used in automatic gross discontinuity calculations only. Generally room temperature and ambient temperature are synonymous, and represent the temperature associated with the location where the system is located.
