Applies To Product(s): AutoPIPE, Version(s): 2004, XM, & V8i Environment: N/A Area: Settings Subarea: Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group Problem: In my simple model with an Rigid Anchor - Pipe - Rigid Anchor, with when a thermal load case is applied should expect high Code Stresses for Max Range at the anchors, however it appears that AutoPIPE's is not calculating the results correctly, why? Answer: Most of the time this is because of an AutoPIPE setting, see the following: For AutoPIPE V8i 09.06.01.xx and lower: See Tools> Model Options> Results> Include axial force, enable this check-box option (see online help for details about this setting).
