Answer: Stress results are only produced for code combinations. Depending on your piping code selected in the model, the answer to this question can be slightly different: ASME B31.1 and B31.3 Codes: Review the online help for these codes, "Stresses Due to Sustained Loads". The pressure term can be removed by changing the following Tools> Model Options> Results options: i. "Include Axial, Pcase in Sustained", unchecked ii. "Longitudinal Pressure", set to "N" As a result of the above settings modification, only the gravity term should be calculated for GR+MaxP code combination. See the results in the "CODE COMPLIANCE" section of the output report. Nuclear codes; NB, NC and ND: Sustain stress is calculated by Eq. #9 for NB code, and Eq. #8 for both NC & ND codes. In all 3 codes, reviewing the equations, the pressure term is dependent upon the internal Design Pressure. To remove the pressure term from the calculation, set the Design Pressure for the entire model = 0.00. See the results in the "PRE-VERIFICATION STRESS REPORT" section of the output report.
