Hello Quique0185, That is correct you cannot take credit for tank stiffness with a nozzle element and then set an anchor to be flexible. The correct approach for modeling a nozzle on the side of a tank / vessel is one of 4 methods: 1. Piping to nozzle element to Rigid Anchor and insert thermal anchor movements as needed. 2. Piping to Rigid anchor and insert thermal anchor movements as needed. 3. Piping to Flexible anchor where user manually inserts 6 stiffness values and insert thermal anchor movements as needed. 4. As mentioned in the AutoPIPE help, Modeling Approaches> Vessel The options are available to the user to model both rigid mounted pump or a pump on wheels : Rigid mounted pump Anchor type = Rigid, all Trans Stiff. and Rot Stiff are set to rigied (Tools> Model options> Edit> means Translation = 0.10000E+11 lb/in and rotational = 1454441088 ft-lbs/deg. Pump Mounted on Wheels Anchor type = Flexible, set all horizontal plane Trans Stiff. = 0.1 lb/in. Vertical Trans Stiff = weight of pump and assuming no rotation Rot Stiff = Rigid. I hope this opens you to the amount of flexibility in modeling different scenarios in AutoPIPE. Regards, Mike Dattilio Bentley TSG Support Analyst ===================================================
