Hello Dana, Under AutoPIPE Tools> Model Options> Edit> See the Settings for "Rigid Stiffness Anchors & Supports". An ANCHOR in AutoPIPE is assume to rigidly restrict movement on 6 axis directions (Dx, Dy, Dz, Mx, My, and Mz) with the stiffness setting above. This cannot be accomplished if the pipe is connected to a beam with it's won stiffness value. then the assumed anchor is not truly an anchor point. What is needed here is a means to rigidly connect a pipe node point in AutoPIPE to a beam node point with a single component. Unfortunately at this time there is no single component in AutoPIPE that can do this. However, the workaround is to insert 6 supports connecting both the pipe node point to the beam node point. Please insert 3 incline support (one on each global axis) and 3 rotational supports (one on each global axis). This will then be considered a rigid connection. An enhancement has been added TFS-E111597: (CAE-CR-2984) - Add a Six way anchor restraint or support component Regards, Mike Dattilio Bentley Product Advantage Group Analyst ===================================================
