Hello Lenie666, I do not understand what you mean by "methodology behind default allowable". The allowables are calculated per the piping code selected. In your case that would be, ASME B31.3. AutoPIPE provides a number of methods that will alter the allowable calculation. Some of these settings can be found under Tools Model Options General, Edit, or Results (please review all these settings). Or, you can override the automatic allowable setting under Tools Combinations Code Comb tab allowable column. Futhermore, depending on the values used for the pipe properties dialog and Press/Temp/Pipe_ID data will affect the allowable value calculated by the program. Suggest that you review the online help, Help Contents Search Tab enter "B31.3"+allowable (include the quotes), press List Topics button, double click on the selected topic from the list provided to see more information.
