Hello Lenie666, I do not understand what you mean by "methodology behind default allowable". The allowables are calculated per the piping code selected. In your case that would be, ASME B31.3. AutoPIPE provides a number of methods that will alter the allowable calculation. Some of these settings can be found under Tools Model Options General, Edit, or Results (please review all these settings). Or, you can override the automatic allowable setting under Tools Combinations Code Comb tab allowable column. Futhermore, depending on the values used for the pipe properties dialog and Press/Temp/Pipe_ID data will affect the allowable value calculated by the program.   Suggest that you review the online help, Help Contents Search Tab enter "B31.3"+allowable  (include the quotes), press List Topics button, double click on the selected topic from the list provided to see more information.   Regards, Mike Dattilio Bentley Technical Support Analyst Web: selectservices.bentley.com Create your Service Request online!  Log in to SELECTservices Online via selectservices.bentley.com and then go to My Support Account Service Request Manager.  You'll have the ability to create a new Service request, view all Service Requests created by you or anyone else in your company, and view statistics on previous requests.
